What is the best type of computer and specs for developing games?

I have to questions when developing a game does all the people helping need the same brand of computer and my second question is can I use a razor computer the best I can find will it work

I am sure English isn’t your first language? Neither is it for me hehe. But Razor is just a brand, please check what CPU/GPU and other components it has and compare it with what is required to run UE4 and to develop your game. I am using a generic Dell laptop with an i5 and a nvidia quadro GPU. Mostly any decent cpu/gpu is good depending on the game I think.

In all honesty, it really depends on what your trying to do. But in my experience as a 3D modeller and animator, you will want the best system you can get your hands on for speed, reliability and future proofing. What i found out is that you cannot rely on name-brands to get you through when it comes to workstation selection. I’ve worked on systems from Gateway, Dell, HP, etc, but none of them come close to giving me the power and speed i need (especially with aspirations to make AAA games) of a self built system. Pre-built systems can be ok ,but 99% of them are for gaming, which is almost the same setup as a dedicated workstation, but with less workstation power. Basically, my opinion is, rather than buy a pre-built system, build your own. It’s not cheaper in most instances, but it’s much more fulfilling knowing that you can build exactly what you want and need. If money is your issue, you can always start off light, with a light builder and upgrade as finances grow.
