How can I optimize the quality of DDS cubemap?

Hello there!

I imported my 4k DDS cubemap (6*4K). It takes a long time to import, circa 20/30 min. ([Known issue][1] ). It takes that long because it is generating mipmaps which destroys the quality of the cubemao.

With the mipmaps on:

I lowered the quality of all the images due to the size of this thread.

I really need help to get the perfect quality of my cubemaps.

Did you manage to fix your issue? In 4.10 it should be possible to disable mip mapping.

Sort of. It is still not optimal but there are some workarrounds that improves the quality.
