Unreal Engine 4 font problem (Mac)

When i open the Unreal Engine 4, it shows up like this.
I don’t know how to fix it, please help me.

Hi AEYT,

This appears to be more than just a font problem as what your image shows only vaguely resembles what the Unreal Engine Launcher should look like. Therefore, please provide the following information:

  1. Is this the first time you are attempting to download and install UE4?
  2. What URL did you download the engine from, and did you ensure that you selected the MAC version?
  3. What are your system specs? You can find this in the Apple menu >About This Mac>More Info> Add the information from this window (serial # not necessary).

Please provide the above information and in the meantime, uninstall UE4. Then, if you have not already, please follow the installation guidelines here:

And make sure you have selected the Mac version here:

Yes, this is the first time i tried to download Unreal Engine 4.
I downloaded UE4 from Epic Games and i did take the mac version.
My system specs are:
Processor: 2 x 2,26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory: 16 GB 1066 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 MB

We are looking into this. In the meantime, be advised that Running UE requires OSX 10.10.5 or higher. If you have not already, please update your OS and let us know if this resolves the issue.

OpenGL 4.1 is required to run UE4 on a Mac. As shown in the following chart, your graphics card only supports Open GL 3.3:

This is the cause of the image corruption on your screen.

I also have a GT 120 512 MB on my Mac Pro.
Version 4.9.2 of the engine worked fine, the problem started with 4.10 (tried the 4.11.0 preview 4 too but the problem still persist).
Will Open GL 3.3 graphic cards be supported again in the future o should I buy a new one? (the mac pro is only used for the export of mac apps, we work on Windows machines)

According to a conversation with one of our Mac specialists,

"On Mac, the minimum requirement is a graphics card that supports OpenGL 4.1. Apple was slow adopting some of the features and some of things that we require are not included in their 3.3 implementation. On top of that, they haven’t updated the drivers for cards that are stuck at 3.3 for ages, and most of them are very buggy, especially Nvidia drivers.

It’s been like this since 4.0 release. At some point we added some very limited support for some of those cards, but that was unsustainable. I see that our official system requirements say “DirectX 11 compatible graphics card”, which, on Mac, happens to be the same cards that support GL 4.1."

-So, in short, it would be best to upgrade to a card that supports GL4.1. The chart above is only a partial image. The full chart is available at www.apple.com.
