Hello all,
I am currently attempting to create a aura field around an object in unreal 4.9
Would the best way to create this effect be in the blueprinting? In the material creation or using a separate object to show this?
I have tried using a emissive light but I want the light separate from the object itself, kind of like a stroke in photoshop effect.
Can this be achieved?
All help is welcome, thanks in advance
No luck with the desired aura effect.Any luck yourself?
I currently have an emissive glow radiating from the object during a matinee sequence.
The only other option I could think of was to duplicate the static mesh in max, scale it up and then put a translucent material on top of it.
I haven’t found another way forward yet.
Let me know if you have any success

I have two ideas. Emiting additive, short life, zero speed particles from mesh or post process on camera (for now post process is only idea).

Yes…Thanks I know this method. This is not what I needed. It’s just outline.
