UE4 Crashes When selecting Alpha Brush!

Hi , As you see at the Topic , My problem is When i try to use painting Tool Especially Alpha Brush the UE4 Crashes !
Any Help Please

  • Does this occur in a clean, blank project with no additional content or is it limited to one project?
  • Can you post your callstack and crash logs here so I can take a look (logs can be found at \Unreal Projects\PROJECTNAME\saved\logs).
  • What steps are you taking to reproduce this on your end?
  • Can you post your dxdiag here so I can take a look?
  • Which painting tool are you using? The vertex paint tool or the landscape paint tool?
  • Is this a c++ or blueprint project?

  • i tried to paint a landscape With Alpha brush , I’m already painted with normal brush , but When i want to paint with custom brush the Engine crashes.

  • I’ll post my dxdiag as soon as possible .

  • Landscape paint tool .

  • Blueprint project .

Unfortunately I have not been able to reproduce this on my end. Do you have specific steps you are taking when you paint or is it possibly limited to a particular texture/material you are using?

I’m not taking any specific steps , Its a normal usage ,My Steps :

  • Open a Project .

  • Create a landscape .

  • Go to landscape paint tool .

  • Hit alpha brush icon .

  • UE4 Crashes .

That it .

Unfortunately I have not been able to reproduce this on my end, are you adding a material to the landscape before attempting to paint?

This issue occur with empty project , Include EPIC created project !
I think it dose"t matter if I’m using material or not ,

Can you post your dxdiag here so I can take a look? Additionally, please try verifying your editor by going to launcher>library>engine version context menu>verify. This will run a check to ensure no files are damaged or missing in your editor and if they are fix/replace them.

i want to tell you that i resolved the issue with your previous steps,
I think it was missing file issue, anyway thanks for tracking my problem .
