How do I effectively setup a PC controller input?
I am using a speedlink PC controller to test out my game, after checking I have it calibrated correctly via windows control panel etc all seems working well. I have set up all my axis binding etc following Zachs tutorials and the keys work fine, just cant seem to get any response from the PC controller... any ideas?
Your bindings look correct, but as a sanity check, if you load one of the sample projects are you able to navigate with the controller?
On the PC we are simply reading the XInput values provided to us by the OS, so if it is showing up as calibrated correctly in the control panel I would generally expect that to work just fine in the game.
When I did a quick internet search about the Speedlink controller I see that it says it supports both DirectInput and XInput based on a switch. It wasn't immediately clear to me how that switch worked, but perhaps you can check that it is running in XInput mode?
