Is it possible to hide the Movies folder when a project is packaged?

Hey Everyone,

I’ve been working on a project which is doing some pretty cool stuff with media players and I’ve noticed that the videos I store in the Movies file (as outlined here Media Framework | Unreal Engine Documentation) are actually fully accessible once I package the project too.

We would like to keep as much of our technique as under-wraps / secure as possible, and the video files are unfortunately a big clue. Is there any way to package the videos in such a way that the end-user will be unable to retrieve or view these movie files?

Thanks very much,

Cpt.

Ever get this figured out?

Hi CaptainFacepalm,

Due to the large volume of questions and comments concerning the Engine, we did not have a chance to respond to your post at the time you submitted it and, thus, the issue is now outdated. If you are still experiencing this issue in the current release of the Engine, please make a new post for assistance.
