Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

can i create animation inside ue4 editor?

There is many tutorial about how to animate a character in our game but i cant find answer to my simple question because i cant find any tutorial on how we create THE animation, every tutorial i found use animation given by the engine or template (idle, walk...) and they show us how to apply them in a character.

but if i want to add a "dancing" animation that didnt exist, can i create the "dancing" animation inside the editor?

because animation is just about setting keyframe for each bones we want to animate, so i think it should be possible to create animation inside editor ? :o

or i have to do it inside 3dsmax/maya (that i cant afford to buy) and that it seem a bit difficult to use if i am new on it ?

Thanks

As far as I know you can't create animations inside the editor you'll have to create a character(or maybe something you want to animate) and you need rig it and animate it in another modelling program. you dont need 3ds max if you can't afford it, you can use blender its free.
