Why cant i paint my Terrain?

i made a material for my landscape, and it has the landscape material opting checked in the details panel, but when i try to actually pain it o my terrain it says “this layer has no layer info yet, you must create or assign a layer info before you can paint this terrain”. All three textures from the material show up in The Target Layers part, but they all say “None” underneath them. What exactly am i doing wrong here?

Hello ViceVersa,

This is the section of that link that you are looking for. It happens after you have assigned the material to your landscape and you are int he paint section of the landscape mode.

I have the same problem but nothing shows up in the layers section. Do you know why?
