Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Error import big OBJ

Hi, the problem as follows.

UE-4.10.1-2791327

Import the file format "OBJ" and get an error if you continue impor and repeatedly press the "skip", the import takes place. And had very large and geometrically complex objects import is not executed.

In the version of UE-4.9.2 no such problem. An example of an object attached. link text

Hi Shiwron,

Thank you for the test asset. I was able to reproduce this and have submitted the ticket with UE-24785. Once there is an update I will post back here.

Thank you!

Tim

A workaround until we found a fix for this will be to not use unicode character in your file. The autodesk fbx sdk is suppose to support utf-8 character, but there is a bug with the obj reader.

It's listed as "In Progress" so hopefully something can be done soon. If a fix is submitted soon, it would be for 4.12 once that comes out and not 4.11 since it's already been branched.

For the moment try using Alexis' workaround until we can get this resolved.
