Lighting problem

Hey, so i was gonna import my own tree to unreal Engine and i got a problem.

Even when i build the lighting i stil only have direct Lightning, Everything indirect is black
There is also a problem with the shadow

Hi Yghtim,

There are a couple of things you can try.

  • Make sure that you’re building lighting with Production and not Preview. This will give more bounce lighting.
  • You can adjust the environment color in the World Settings > Lightmass so that the shadows are now black. You can choose any color. A lighter color should work…OR
  • You can add a Skylight to soften the scene as well.

If you want better baked shadow quality for your ground mesh you will also want to consider adjusting the lightmap resolution for that mesh.
