Toggle EQ settings from 1st person to 3rd person view via Blueprints

i am not sure if this is a bug or not, but i am trying to use the push and pop sound mix modifiers within Blueprints to change between EQ’s that are routed to the same sound class via 2 separate sound mixes. in the pictures below i tried to use keyboard V to change the perspective views which will toggle my “CharacterWeapons” sound class from activating and deactivating EQ settings from 2 sound mixes. i am trying to achieve a LPF cockpit sound when inside (1st person) and a unEQ’d 3rd person sound when outside the cockpit.

i assumed that if 1st person sound mix has the Apply EQ check and the 3rd person sound mix has the Apply EQ unchecked, then when i push and pop each respective sound mix i would hear the EQ toggle on and off, but thats not the case. is there a better way to achieve this?
