Translucent material casting shadows as opaque

I’ve encountered a problem with light coming out of windows or similar props using a mixture of translucent and opaque materials:

What I normally get is the picture in the right which is obviously wrong but if I select the model I get the picture on the left. why is this happening ? I’ve found [this other thread][2] which is tolking about the same issue … I think ? but the solution hasn’t worked for me, my translucent material is still acting like an opaque one. Could anyone help please ? Thanks in advance !

I think I wasn’t expressing myself clearly before. The problem is that a transparent material like glass is casting shadows.

Ok the answer was really simple, all I had to do was making the glass two sided and that was it !
