Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

unwanted colors over opacity on imported texture

so i made a texture in gimp, and a normal map in gimp which both have a transparent background. when i import them they both have weird added colors where the opacity is. if i double click on them they both look correct. Even if i make my material translucent and plug the opacity pins in, unreal seems to know exactly what was supposed to be transparent. The problem is, im trying to make an opaque material, with 3d text on top, and i need to get rid of the extra stuff on the text textures that unreal added. Does anybody know why this happened/ how to fix it? its happened multiple times. what its supposed to look like WTF?
