Soooo… i was gonna remove the Thirdpersoncontroller folder from my game, and for some reason unreal Engine saves the Map in there so i removed the folder with my map. The Map was a larg open World that i had worked on for a few weeks.
So what now? can i just forget this now? is it like all over, is it like. Ha to bad brah… Isnt there any safety or something?
Unreal Engine seems to Permanent delete the folder too, no recycle bin or anything…
We’ve all had lessons like this! Always create a separate folder called LEVELS or MAPS…or whatever you want.
As for you issue… did you happen to go to the actual folder structure to see if its still there?
Well the Folder i deleted is there, but nothing in it. and i have tried to restore the folder but windows cant find anything to reset.
Oh well, i guess im gonna have to learn my lession

Navigate to your Unreal Project folder, and within the project folder you are experiencing issues with go to Saved>Backup to locate back ups of .umap and .uasset files.
