Feeling a bit frazzled…
On Saturday, I downloaded the launcher. I was given a message that .net framework had not downloaded, but I think that is fine, because I checked, and I have a more recent .net framework version.
I hit the “Get Engine” button, and for roughly ten hours it downloaded. I checked on it Sunday morning, and it said that installation failed because prerequisites failed to load, error E-1223.
On Monday, I did more research and found that I needed Visual Basic and other stuff, so I got the stuff, and then attempted download again. Tuesday morning: Installation failed, same reason as before.
More research, found some complicated explanation with updates, gave up, decided to try 4.9 instead.
Has been downloading 20 minutes now, at 8%. Am I still doing something wrong?

Other user have had similar issues installing 4.10.x and have followed the steps on this post to resolve the problem.
Please try the solutions provided there. If you are still unable to install the launcher, reply back and we will continue to look into the issue for you.
