Glass mat fake reflection

Hi,
I’m looking at the Glass material “M_Glas_Mat” from the RealisticRendering scene from Unreal in the marterial editor and there is a Fake reflection part for “Unlit Glass” next to the material, not connected to any slot but apparently responsible for the nice reflection in the glass , Can someone could explain to me how it’s works ? the fact that there are not connected bug me a little …

It has no effect as it is not connected. The reflections in the realistic rendering project come from sphere reflection capture objects.

If you want to use fake reflections however, either plug that node to emissive or multiply it with base color.
