My vector paint node network wont work?

Hi there,

I simply can not get my 3 texture vector paint node network to work correctly. The G channel is the only one that will paint a texture correctly. R, and B don’t do anything? The only way I can paint the other textures supposedly linked to R, and B is by holding shift as I paint clicking R,G for one texture and clicking G,B for another?

Could someone check my node network as i’d love to grasp this. If not could someone provide an alternative to my network with normal maps? Only reason haven’t linked the normal maps in this current network is due to the diffuses not working correctly yet.

I think this might be something to do with my mesh having a base colour? I’m not hugely sure how to remove this as when I paint a plain colour over the top (e.g Black)
