Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Do I have to pay royalties for using Assets from the Asset Store?

Alright, so I couldn't really word this question well and couldn't find any answers online. My question is: If I make a game using UE4, and it has assets that I got from the asset store, then am I allowed to publish the game, make money off of the game, advertise on the game, etc. What if I use files I downloaded from one of the Unreal tutorials? Can I use those assets in my game? For example: https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Introduction_to_Third_Person_Blueprint_Game_-_2_-_Project_Creation_and_FBX_Download

If I downloaded the assets from that tutorial would I have to pay royalties? This is very concerning to me.

Thanks in advance!

All of your proposed uses are fine. As for royalties, you owe royalties whether or not you use those assets.
