Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[4.11 preview 2] Crash on baking Landscape Textures

I have not edited any engine folder content for this project. It will bake some then crash after it bakes about 100 or so out. Then crash report throws this error.

Hi Sir Jecht,

We've not heard back from you yet, are you able to post your Machine ID from the Crash Reporter window and do you have any steps that can help us reproduce this issue on our end?

Some details about your project, like the size of the map you're building lighting for, the call stack mentions Light Propagation Volumes (LPV) so if you've got this enabled it would be helpful to know for sure, along with any settings that have been set for the lights you're using.

Sorry for the late response. I have been out of office for the past few days and was unable to get the ID's off the machine in time.

Also we are breaking this out in passes for a VFX movie production so if this breaks it is only in this project that the file is breaking our other projects are working fine. And since the background is out of focus for all of these shots we just ended up doing a plane replacement so this issue isn't pressing. Just wanted to give you a heads up encase it was plaguing our other projects which wasn't the case.

Thanks for getting back to me, Sir Jecht.

At the moment, I've not been able to reproduce the crash, and I don't see this specific crash linked in your original post listed in our crash reported. I tried a couple of different things to see if I could reproduce, but I didn't have any luck.

Since you have a workaround for the moment and it's only happening in this project that you've found I'll mark this resolved for the moment. If you have any additional steps to reproduce the crash I can look into it.
