packaging project output log loops in oculus related process

the beginning of the output log runs for a while and after Cmd: OBJ savepackage package, it shows logsavepackage: save = 4075.041992ms and several similar lines until it gets to
logsavepackage:display: finished savepackage. at this point the log starts showing several oculus related lines. of the following, the “Writing logged data to… Can’t open log data file” lines seem suspect but i am not sure specifically of what it means.

after this, the output log has been spitting out lines like the following while running overnight, and is still spitting out the similar lines with the current time stamp this morning.

There is no sign that the output log will start showing anything different, there are no files in the destination folder, and the ue4 editor isn’t showing the small window with % completion of the project package.

I intend to view the project through the oculus sdk2, and I’ve been packaging the project so that I can run the oculus software on a compatible PC, since the computer i’ve been modeling on is running windows through bootcamp and oculus does not seem to have support for my current setup.

any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hello hkameda,

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. What platform are you currently packaging for when it gets hung?

Hello hkameda,

We have not heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing the issue you reported, please respond to this message with additional information and we will offer further assistance.
