Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Where can I find a collection of files for the tutorials?

I'm really learning the engine through the tutorials and love them! However i cant seem to find the exact files demonstaters are using. I understand why as you have multiple experts for different aspects of the engine. So I was wondering if there is a place where they can upload the files they used that were pre-made, not anything new they create within the video. As to encourage users to learn through experience.

If possible, can there be a link in the youtube tutorials to the page where the collections are titled by their video. I'll gladly place it in the wiki for you.

If I understand your question correctly, the files you are looking for are in the 'Content Examples' project. Launch UE4, click the 'Market Place' tab, find 'Content Examples', and install it if it's not already. Once you have it installed, launch UE4, and you should see the 'Unreal Project Browser'. Under 'Sample Games', select: 'Content Examples' and click 'Open'. From there you can click on 'File' then 'Open Level' to select the example content maps.
