Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to Fade In UMG?

Hi everybody, is there a way you can fade in a UMG Widget? I have a couple of vertical boxes with text in them and I'd like them to fade in at start. Thanks!

You need to create an animation track and then set the alpha of the color of those texts from 0 to 1. Then play that animation with Event Construct.

Create a fade-in animation inside your UMG widget and play it at start. You need to key "Opacity" value of your image/button/etc. For example, for text it's an Alpha value which controls opacity:

... So just key it from 0 to 1 in your animation. Here is a tutorial how to make & play animations in UMG: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Urrig6FP4nY
