Level blueprint has disappeared

Ok basically, I’ve been working on a level for 2-3 days now and I have autosave on and I ALWAYS save after I finish.
Then the next day I went on Unreal engine and searched for my level everywhere and its like it just disappeared. Someone please help, ive worked a lot on it and i dont want to lose it.

Hello,

  • Is your map appearing in your Content Browser?
  • Have you checked your project folder to see if your map exists in the actual project folder itself?

The only other option would be to check your Saved folder located in your project folder and see if any backup was saved. It sounds like the file got deleted, or wasn’t properly saved somehow. If it’s not in your Content folder located in your project folder, and there is no backup in your Saved folder, it is likely that somehow the file was deleted.

Hey, thanks for replying.

  • No its not in mi content browser
  • Yes i’ve checked and its not there

You can try copying the file from the Saved folder into your Content folder. This should allow it to show up in the Content folder of the Content Browser in the editor.

The only other thing I could think was that some of your assets that were in that level were also deleted. So go ahead into that same backups folder and grab all of the assets that you are missing, and add those back into the content folder too. Once this is done, right-click in the Content Browser and select the Fix Up Redirectors option.

Other than this, there isn’t much else you can do.

In the future, I highly recommend using Source Control when working on any project, as this will allow you to roll back to previous versions of your project if anything like this occurs in the future.
