Light build shadow problem

Hi Guys

What could be this weird shadow? Everytime I build light, a small portion of my landscape has no shadow, you can see by this image:

It was ok before, then I rebuilt light and it is happening all the time I build light

thanks for any help

Hey Filipe,

Have you added a ‘Lightmass Importance Volume’ around your world?

Have you modified the Lightmass options on the Landscape Actor, or have you altered the ‘World Setting’ lightmass settings?

Are you able to reproduce this in a blank project?

I would suggest making some small sculpting modifications to that particular landscape component and then rebuild to see if that helps at all. You could also try deleted and re-adding that landscape component.

Cheers,

Hi Andrew

Thanks for your answer, but I have the lightmass, didn´t change any lightmass of the world setting or the landscape. I really don´t want to create another landscape again

It is weird, becaused everyting was fine, but when I moved the Foliage procedural tool and Resimulated it, the bug appeared. But resimulating again doesn´t help too…

Andrew

Ok, here is something:

My LightSource was rotated to between positive 45 to 55º in Z axis

Now, with the rotation around +27º in Z axis the shadow problem desappeared…

I´m using the procedural foliage tool, lightsource is stationary and all foliage are movable.

ok, thank you!

Yeah, the angle of your sunlight could definitely cause this issue. I am going to assume this issue is resolved and I will mark it as so, but if the issue appears again let me know.

Cheers,
