Color over Life changes aren´t visible

Hello,
My problem is about changing the color of particles. I did this with Color over Live. In the example “Fireparticle set”
it works, but with my own Materials and Textures it doesn´t.
I tried it with Material Instances too, but it failed also…

Did you use a particleColor node in your own materials?
Like this:

without that node, you dont have control over the colors when using the innitial color/color over life node.
