Sorry about this. I know you guys don’t officially support Gentoo, but I’m trying to get your engine up and running on my machine. I followed your wiki tutorial. Everything built properly.
I cd into Engine/Binaries/Linux and run ./UE4Editor. The editor loads and all appears to be fine. But then, the moment I hit “Create project”, the program crashes. I’ll paste the log into this email and attach a video of it as it happens.
Certain details that may be of interest:
- Graphics card is a NVidia GT 640 … I’m pretty sure this is below the hardware requirements
- Processor is AMD FX 8350
- 8GB RAM
- I have three monitors plugged into the GT 640 (probably overworked)
- The NVidia driver is slightly out of date at version 340.93-r1 (don’t want to update because the new one has bugs with my card)
