How to create lightmaps for cylinder objects?

Hi there,

I’m currently making a bridge - it has wooden cylinder railing supports. How do I create lightmaps for these? I’d have cylinder unwrapped the main body then auto unwrap the flat top? I’d just like to know the best method for this.

Hi!

I think you can use Cylindrical projection. And do not forget to snap border of UV patches to edges of pixels. It help avoid artifacts in this place.
