weapon floating in blendspace

I have struggled for some time now to get the blendspace to work properly with my character’s weapon. I’m using ik solver and dummy to control ik chain in 3d max, but in blendspace ik chain not following dummy. Do i have to setup ik in ue4?

Sorry this is happening to you, I do recommend though to update to 4.12 UE and see if that helps.

Are you using sockets to attach the weapon?

If not, I strongly recommend looking into that. It makes attaching weapons and anything else much, much easier and exact.

Is so, check how you’re attaching it. Depending on the settings, it could be inheriting strange transforms from the asset or character. As Tetsumi mentioned, also, the method for attaching changed from 4.10 to 4.12 and, now 13. Also, make sure that the point on the weapon you want to attach to the character is at the origin and not, say, where it would be if the character was holding it.
