How to enable stereoscopic rendering

Hello,

I am currently working on a project where I need to render in stereoscopic mode without any sort of HMD. I have two projectors setup to work with left and right images, and the way they work is basically just plugging into a computer that is generating those two views. I can’t seem, or at least don’t know how, to get my game to play in stereoscopic mode without having a HMD plugged in.

I did some research on my own and found that perhaps using the following command in a command prompt would yield my desired results, but whenever I try to run it I get an error that the plugin ‘OculusAudio’ failed to load because module ‘OculusAudio’ could not be found. I attempted to disable the plugin (as the error message suggests), but what I found was that it was already disabled.

Basically I am unsure where to go from here, and was hoping someone might have some suggestions. Let me know if you need any other information from me.

Thanks,

Jacob

Hi!

You can get side-by-side mode without additional stereo camera setup. You need use parameter -emulatestereo in Editor and Play Standalone Game or launch your game using this parameter:

MyGame.exe -emulatestereo

I know this is an old post but i have to ask…

Is there anyway i can capture this information and create a sequence or video file? from inside unreal? Like matinee or sequencer?

Thank you.

Same question here… did you fix that?

Maybe the panoramic stereo capture plguin suits your needs? https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-us/Platforms/VR/StereoPanoramicCapture
