Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

License for private school.

I have a question about licensing Unreal Engine 4. Currently I own and run my private training center – I teach people about 3DS Max and Vray. I would like to teach also how to work with UE4, especially for archviz.

I found in FAQ informations about academic use but my "school" isn't free public school but private, where students have to pay tuition.

So in my case, can I use free UE4 license or do I have to buy any special license?

In the EULA (which is the legal governing document), the definition of Academic Institution is:

any educational institution such as, but not limited to, a university, college, or high school, as well as libraries.

It does not require that it be "free." You are welcome to use the Academic Institution license:

If you are an Academic Institution, the limitation to use by a single User does not apply with respect to the Licensed Technology. Instead, you may store the Licensed Technology on any of your computers, and you may allow all users of those computers to use the Licensed Technology (excluding any Marketplace Content) under the License. However, those users are not authorized under your License to Distribute or sublicense the Licensed Technology (including as incorporated in a Product) unless they obtain a License of their own.
