Does Epic have any anti-piracy plans?

I heard about denuvo which is a technology that protects the game from being pirated.
Big AAA titles are being protected even after 1 month of release, this would be amazing for small indie games.
Even if a solution won’t protect forever, at least on the first month would make a HUGE difference on total sales.
Is there any plans for something like that for unreal?
I think this is a major problem and Epic would be beneficiated by that too.
Thank you

No, UE doesn’t have any built in anti piracy.

He was asking regarding plans for it. Well, I can’t remember seeing anything about that on Trello, but would have been interesting to hear an answer from Epic.

Well, as for me, I don’t think indie games should have such protection at all. When one person or a tiny studio develop their first game, they should be interested not in making lots of profit at once, but in manifesting themselves. I’m not saying piracy is good, but I strongly doubt a lot of people would buy games made by no one knows whom, but if your first game is really good, the second one would probably bring you the profit you crave for. But if you release your first game with heavy-duty protection… Well, I’m saying for myself, but when I happen to release, I want as many people as possible to see what I have to offer, and if they don’t want to buy the game, so be it. I’ll consider it to be a kind of goodwill investment into the future.

I douth Epic gonna invest on that since anti-piracy solution is part of security software branch which something diffrent from designing game engine, denuvo is company dedicated just for that, this also probably would not be free as this kind of solution also requires service constantly up and UE4 is pretty much offline product. There also other reason, UE4 suppose to be universal in use and denuvo is not only PC DRM solution out there and use of specific solution might be enforce by way of distribution, so Epic simply might want leave this to other companies to fullfill all the needs. Ofcorse this is all just my opinion on matter.
