Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Cascade Editor keeps crashing when sliding on horizontal scrollbar

I have an AMD r9 380 without an issue. Driver is updated (AMD Crimson Driver). I already got 6 crashes and I noticed that it's the scrollbar that causing the crash. It says your driver has crashed then turns into black screen from that I'm forced to restart my PC. I would like to hear some recommendation or maybe a fix for this ASAP. It ruins my productivity a lot..

Hi slardarrr -

It sounds like you are not seeing the Engine's Crash Reporter window, in which case, can you please go to the listed wiki below and follow teh instructions to upload the Windows Event Viewer Logs? Also, it would be helpful to upload your DXDIAG as well.

https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Windows_Event_Viewer

If I am wrong and you are seeing the Engine's Crash Reporter window, please copy the Machine ID and post it here and make sure to submit the crash.

Thank You

Hello -

From your logs it looks like the Launcher is actually crashing and causing the engine to follow. Can you try to open the engine and not open Cascade, then close the Launcher. Once the Launcher is closed try to open Cascade and adjust the Scroll Bar again and see if you crash, or if you crash with the same event logs listed above.

Thank You

Another crash, it happened twice after I import some of my old assets I got from the marketplace. I think they're outdated, I'm using 4.10 version. Is it normal or maybe AMD needs to do something with this.

Hi Slardarrr -

Try going back to pre-Crimson Drivers (Catalyst) and see if the crashes stop happening for you.

Hello Slardarrr -

I wanted to check in and see if rolling back to the Catalyst Drivers helped solve the issue?

Thank You
