Big framerate reduction moving from 4.9 to 4.10

I recently migrated from 4.8 to 4.9 and my FPS was pretty much unchanged. I did the same steps again to migrate from 4.9.2 to 4.10.2 and my frame rate is about half of what it was with 4.8 and 4.9. I have 2 high-end PC’s (gtx980 SLI etc) and both experience the same slow down. The slowdown is apparent in both the editor and the packaged game (win64). My game is a pretty big 4K open world map with a lot of foliage placed using the new foliage tools in 4.7 and 4.8. My frame rate was 45-60 in 4.8 and 4.9 but is more like 25-30 in 4.10. Any idea where I might look for the cause?

Probably the Scalability Settings have changed when you migrated, check this.

Scalability was maxed at epic in 4.8 and 4.9 and is still at epic for 4.10

I upgraded to 4.11 p5 just to see what would happen and I was able to build and package my game without problems and the frame rate is actually better with 4.11 than it was for 4.8 and 4.9. I don’t know what is causing the problem for me with 4.10, but I will just stay on 4.9 until 4.11 is ready. No need to keep this ticket open as far as I am concerned.

hi where do i find scalability settings? i have had the same issue how ever i went from 410 to 411 and now my frame rate has dropped by 30 fps…and i’m worried about how to fix this and should i stay in 410 till 412 comes out?
