Collision with mesh attached to a socket

Hello,

I have a third person blueprint project, and have attached a mesh to the back of my character. The socket is attached and looks all right, but with it attached my third-person character won’t run upstairs-he moves DOWN them just fine, but going UP requires jumping. I have already tried scaling down the step height. I’m trying to find out if there are any collision settings for the mesh I attached but am not really sure where to look. Does anybody have any advice as to what collision settings I should change, or is this an entirely different problem? Many thanks in advance!

So you want the mesh to have no collision, right?

To do that, go inside your mesh, double click it and will open the mesh editor,

inside it check those 2 settings in the picture, the collision in the right, unable that, and if it has those purple lines (collision bounderes) delete them using the tab:
