Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Why are these files showing up in the P4 submit dialogue?

Hello all, When I try to submit my files to Perforce (inside of Unreal Engine), this dialogue comes up: UE4 Source Control Submit Dialog

I can't really figure out why files that I don't have checked out (and haven't edited) are showing up in this dialogue. I have had this happening for a while and could use some help.

Why are unchanged files showing up on this dialogue? (These files are NOT showing up in my pending changelist in P4--as expected).

Thanks! (Glad to provide any more information that someone might need).

Are the permissions being handled by P4? Meaning, you didn't go in there and change them...? That is odd indeed!

Sorry, could you define change them? I have submitted some of these files manually through P4V, but I always check them out with the editor. Also I never edit any of the files outside of Unreal Ed.
