Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Matinee: Recording AVIs in Premiere causes 'banding'

I'm recording a bunch of gameplay to AVIs, and I'm finding that all of them look fine when I play the AVIs directly, but when I import them into Premiere, the video it outputs has odd "banding" everywhere. This is 100% consistent for all the videos.

Here's what it looks like:

On the other hand, simply re-importing the same AVI into Windows Movie Maker and processing a WMV from that and then importing that WMV into Premiere seems to work around the problem:

This seems broadly related to this issue: https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/337625/ue-410-matinee-videos-are-dark.html , since that was also an issue that was worked around by reprocessing the AVI files to WMV in the same way.
