Is it possible to disable TXAA on a per object basis?

I have a monitor with complex texture animation that gets smeared into a huge mess as the temporal effect ignores the material animation. Disabling TXAA (and having to deal with jagged edges and noisy screen space reflections) for everything just to fix that one screen seems counterproductive, but the screen is essential to gameplay and is unusable with TXAA on.

Hi Arnage,

We have not heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing the issue you reported, please respond to this message with additional information and we will offer further assistance.

Thank you!

The updates since this question was asked seem to have slightly reduced this effect, but it is definitely not solved yet. For the use case described in the original post I ended up having to use a post process volume to disable TXAA for the entire room that screen was in, which works, but is not a nice solution at all.

As there is already a way to mask the temporal effect for translucent materials with the responsive AA option, a similar option for opaque materials would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Arnage,
You can actually set a post-process volume to have AA settings within them. Just make sure the Unbound checkbox is unchecked and situate your volume around the object you wish to use AA with.

Notice the differences of the AA on the Box object between the two images.

That’s indeed exactly what I’m doing now. However what I wish was possible is a way to selectively do so on a material basis. (like the responsive AA option for translucent materials)

Considering you guy hired Timothy Lottes I suppose I’m just hoping something like that is on his todo-list
