How to make a animated falling snow material?

Hi does anyone know how to make a snow material that animates like its falling?

In which you apply it to a BSP making it clear, but you see snow falling.

He was specifically asking for a material that can be applied to BSP geometry not a particle system. My first question would be why do you want to use such an old school method of making snow when you can take advantage of a particle system?

My answer would be that you can create a tileable masked snow texture and then simply apply a panner node to it so that it scrolls across the mesh. You would then place your brushes in the world in a grid pattern and apply the material to them. But I’d take Braff_Zacklyn’s advice and use the particle based snow from the tutorial.

Here is a great tutorial on it

The guy also has a part 2 on his channel that you might want to look into.
