VR Not working when exported

Hi,

I’m working with a client on a VR project that seems not to be working on their end. On my PC the project works fine, the project detects the oculus and goes into VR mode when i hit alt+enter… but this doesnt work for them. I have sent them previous versions of the same project and it always worked fine, and still does… so im not sure what the problem is.

When the client hits Alt+enter the project just goes full screen, it seems like the project isnt recognising the oculus at all. The client says theyve updated the graphics card etc, any ideas on what could be the problem?

I think your client has updated video driver and installed the new version of Oculus SDK 0.8.0.0. The last nVidia drivers support GameWorks VR. The new Oculus SDK does not require to press Alt+Enter. UE4 works direct to Oculus now. To activate VR mode you need to use Enable HMD node.

Thanks for the answer, it was a great help. It wasn’t the answer to the problem however, as the client still had the issue. Turns out all they needed to do was update the Oculus runtime. I ruled this out as a problem because they already told me they had updated everything… it appears not.
