Hi ,

Please post your dxdiag here. To do so, please go to your Windows Explorer start menu and type “dxdiag” into the searchbar. Open the program that shows up in the list (dxdiag.exe). Once this is open, please save the information to a .txt file and post that .txt here so I can take a look. Thank you.

Hi ,

We have not heard from you in several days. I am marking this as answered for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing this error, please comment with the requested information.

I am also having a laggy experience. Finding system specs won’t do any good if you can’t run it on your system in the first place. I think the best way to go about solving it is telling us what steps we can try to make it less laggy. Maybe there’s some special LOD setting that I happened to glance over, and if there isn’t any way to gain FPS then it’s just as easy to uninstall the engine.

Hi DevilPup2016,

The editor may be laggy specifically because of the system it is running on. It is good to get this information out of the way as quickly as possible to eliminate the possibility that the reason the editor, which is a performance intensive software, is running poorly is due to hardware that isn’t up to our recommended specifications.

If the hardware is not up to the recommended specifications, I can offer suggestions on how to marginally improve performance such as reducing your engine scalability settings, turning off update BSPs automatically, and work in projects with minimal rendering needs. However, I cannot guarantee that the editor will run faster even with these modifications made. If you could, please provide your dxdiag and I’ll be able to tell you whether or not your PC is on par with our recommended specs and, if so, we can delve deeper to find what may be the root cause of the lag.
