Hello,
i have some questions about licensing the unreal-engine for our business.
We want to use the engine on a server system (multiple instances) and stream the visualisation results to a web application, not using the UE web player.
The Unreal-engine is only a single part of our system but now we don’t know how the licence costs are calculated.
We are at the beginning of our project and need a solid calculation for licence costs for the UE4-engine.
This sounds like an interesting use of Unreal Engine. Based off your description this application may fall under the terms of a Custom or Enterprise license. Would mind dropping me an email to jay.wilbur@epicgames.com so we can arrange to chat about this application and sort out next steps?
I reply to this post, not knowing if a new would make sense.
I also work in a company which creates digital solution for health care companies. One of these are virtual Tours and Expos. For that, we use 3DVista, which allows us to arrange 360° images to a tour, an Escape Room ect.
We want to focus more on virtual 3D Enviroments with a photorealistic look so the question is : What license would fit and what about the assets which we want to use from the marketplace…are these rights also “included”?
