Material blinking when using SphereGradient-2D in Material Funcion with a Param

I recently posted this in https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/250995/material-bug-material-blinking-when-use-spheregrad.html, but apparently it was disregarded as a bug… Or maybe it’s just a completely different bug, so, I’m opening a new report.

Create a new material function and set it up as this:

You will see that the output will flicker when you move around (sometimes you need to click in the editor, do something. Other times, it updates the image even when live nodes are disabled).

If you use a constant instead of a param for Radius, this does not occur.

I’d love if you could check this.

Thank you in advance and keep up the great work!

Hi Zoc -

This particular issue has been corrected in 4.11. You can test in the current preview version, 6 as of this answer.

Thank You for your report -

Hello Eric,

I just tested this in UE 4.11 Preview 6 and this issue is NOT fixed.

I managed to record it at 15 fps, but it blinks way faster.

I’d love if you could reply to this when you check this bug (again), so I’m aware you noticed it.
Thank you in advance!

Hi Zoc -

In the process of retesting this issue for you. I feel like I missed the version number and this may not have been corrected until 4.12, in either case as soon as I am done I will respond back here for you.

Thank You
