I’m looking to use UE4 as a renderer, basically as part of my workflow to create some concept art and videos for proof-of-concept. I am keen to try using UE4 instead of rendering in V-Ray as I think the realtime nature of the engine might speed up my iteration times on my video renders and still images.
So my question is this. Reading the license it specifically mentions non-interactive linear content (even commercial non-interactive linear content) as being royalty free. Does this mean I can use UE4 as a renderer for still images and video sequences without any license costs or restrictions?
And, fwiw, I’m so grateful to Epic for giving us this license, I wouldn’t think of not crediting them in the finished work, anyway (once I actually get to create it, of course. )
