Lights blowing out bright red?

Hi,

Working on an older project. Basically after I build the lighting one part of my level and the foliage blows out bright red? All my lights are set to a low and normal variables. I also have a lightmass importance volume set in place surrounding the house and none of the foliage outside? Any help please?

Thanks!

I sorted this - not ideal but I copied the file and converted it to run on UE 10 - this seems to have sorted the lights blowing out a harsh red colour that seemed to be a glitch.

Also keep an eye on your sphere reflections. They could also be pulling in the red from the couch and throwing it out too far.

Hi in terms of the reflection spheres? How many is advised to use and should I keep the settings at default? i think this was also a major issue.

Hi there. The reflections example map that you can get from the learn tab shows good practices for using reflection spheres. Some for overall scene reflection and some small ones to focus in on an area. In real life bounce light picks up on colors that it is reflecting off of and can reflect that onto another nearby surface. This is part of the function of reflections spheres so that is why I mention it. I made a cafe scene for a VR project and used a reflection sphere. It’s default setting was causing the red seats to reflect on the chrome and floor… Took me little bit to find the right balance. So I suggest looking at the reflection map to get a good general idea.
