Hair shader rendering issues

Hair shader does weird things with TemporalAA alpha mask dithering (

) , placing some sick-colored stripes randomly or black squares at the border of the mesh, where dithering is applied.
And also problem appears when you want to add Power node between the main hair color and shader color input. So color powers by some value, like 0.5 - everything is fine; power multiplies color by 2, for example, and there appear ugly black squares on the edges of the hair mesh. Even Clamp placed at the output (to hold everything in fine conditoins) doesn’t help much at values such 1.3 (of Power applied to the main color, which is 3 vector).

P.S. sorry for this formatting, don’t know why, but the form doesn’t allow me to attach my pictures in normal way.

Hey Pirog,

So instead of me trying to recreate this material and get to your working point, would you be able to provide me with your material and the test asset you are using so I can take a look at this on my end?

Use the ‘Zip up Project’ option in the File > Package Project menu. Then upload that zipped folder to a shared drive on Google Drive or Dropboxx, and send me a private message on the forums with the shared link.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Cheers,
