Epic games does not show in my github acct

Hello,
I am following the step by step video tutorial (Downloading and building UE4 Source). I have a UE4 account and I successfully created my github account as well. I have successfully updated and saved my github account in my UE4 account settings. I have double check that my github username was correct, saved the changes. When I refresh my github account, Epic Games organisation does not show.
Thanks for your help
Bertrand

Once you log-into your github accoun, go directly to the following url:

You will find the repository there

so I did what you just advised, I just get the following message in the middle of the page in bold character saying:
This organization has no public repositories.
Thanks for your help again

Are you sure you have logged-into GitHub with the same account that you have setup in unrealengine dashboard? You must log into unrealengine.com and make sure the github username is setup correct. Youy should give the username not the email you used to register in github.

If everything is setup correctly, you will see this when you access the url:

I have signed out of both unreal and github. Signing back in unreal only let’s me use my email which is fine, I guess.
Signing back in github I made sure I was using my username, and still have the same issue once logged in. If I go to the following URL:

I get the following message in the middle of the page: This organization has no public repositories.

At this point should I try to delete my github account and create a new one?
It is not the first time I am setting accounts on the web (trust me), I made sure over and over that I was doing thing correctly, and it is pretty straight forward.
Thanks again for your time, patience and help. Bertrand

Yes, I would suggest creating a new github account and try with that. It could be something simple.

  • Logout of unreal and github
  • Create a new github account, login, verify the email address (just to be safe)
  • Logout of github.
  • Come back and log-into unreal. Goto dashboard and setup the new github username. ‘Save’
  • Goto github and log-in again.
    Does it work now?

Maybe I miss understood something, Do I have to get the $19/mo subscription, because that I did not do. Do you have to pay the subscription to learn unreal?
Maybe that is the issue I have?
If it does not matter I will proceed with erasing and creating a new github account.
Thanks

Yes, ofcourse you do. I should have asked that first!
You MUST have an active subscription to see the source code in GitHub

However once you download the source code and make a backup in your system, you can still use it after your subscription has expired. But you will not get new updates.

If you are only planning to use the UnrealEditor (ie not interested in SourceCode), then you can downlaod the editor separately after paying for the subscription. Similar to the source code, you can use the Editor even after your subscription has expired and release games with it.

Thanks for all your help and tips on how to deal with the subscription. Sorry about this miss understanding.
Thanks again,
Bertrand
