Bone Vertex Weight from Blender

Hey everyone!

I have a simple question to which I haven’t found an answer yet: If I create a bone in blender, assign a body part to it and then paint the weights of the vertices for this specific bone - is it possible, that these weights can be used in UE 4? For example if I want to increase the size of the upper arm via the bone size, then I create one bone for the whole arm and paint the weights so that the lower arm has almost no weight, whereas the upper part has full weight.

I’m new to this topic, so if this approach is wrong, please be kind

Thanks in advance and have a great weekend!

Hi. I hope I am not too late posting. Many people had problems logging in with chrome or posting for a couple days I can offer some tips if you still need it. There is a better way. Let me know if this is still a problem

Hello EyeDee,
it would be nice if you can tell us how you would do it. I try to access the vertex weight data in the material editor but I can’t find how to do it.

Thanks!
