Standalone game crashes on startup (UE4.10.4)

Hello Unreal4 staff

I am experiencing a crash whenever I try to play my project in standalone game mode.


Branch = Binary

Version = 4.10.4-2872498++

Details:
The project in question is a custom project. It uses only Blueprints.
The crash happens no matter what map. Even a completely empty Map will cash when played in Standalone mode. It happens all every time right when the standalone game window has finished loading.
Editor play and every other play-mode works fine.
Migrating the Assets of the Project does not seem to help either.
The “Assertion failed” line of the crash log is not cut off by me. It seems to cut off at a random point

I have figured out that the problem is caused by a custom PlayerController refering to a widget that refers to a PlayerController.

Im not sure yet what is causing the problem, but I will keep looking. I suspect there might be a circular dependency.
