ShooterGame Sample crashd on new level

Hello,
When I play on new level in shootergame, it’s crash every time after first respawn. Any suggestions?

  • Can you post your crash logs and callstack here so I can take a look?
  • When you say a new level, do you mean you have created a new, blank level in the project and when you try to run PIE on this it crashes or does it crash when you open one of the levels as a new instance of PIE?
  • Have you made any modifications to the project or is it directly from the sample with no alterations?

thanks for your reply. I create simply new level in ShooterGame project without any modifications. In Highrise and Sanctuary maps everything is fine.

I’am instaling UE 4.9 wersion and everything work great. Nothing crashes. Bot every time respawn in player position, not randomly, but everything else is ok.

Do you have VS 2015 installed on your computer?

I uninstalled it before, but it did not help.

I have not been able to reproduce this on my end. Can you list the exact steps you are taking with a new, clean copy of shootergame?

As you can see in the accompanying screen before, I add character (bot) to the default arena (in new default level). I play, shoot to bot, he shoot to me, no matter who dies, after first spawning, game crashed.

I attempted this on my end and have not been able to reproduce it on my end. Can you try deleting your copy of shootergame and creating a new version, then try the reproduction steps again to see if this still occurs?

I’ve been uninstalling Ue4.10. Then I have installed it again. I have removed shootergame, then I downloaded it again and I created the project. On new level adds botspawn. I’m playing, shooting the bot, waiting to respawn. After a few seconds it crash again. I don`t know what is wrong.

Can you post your dxdiag here so I can take a look? Additionally, please post your full logs here. They can be found at \Unreal Projects\PROJECTNAME\saved\logs. The links you’ve provided have been for the callstack.

Unfortunately, I still have not been able to reproduce this on my end. Do you experience this error if you create any of the template projects or other projects aside from ShooterGame? Do you have VS 2015 installed? Are you adding anything else to the project before you create the new level and add a pawn?
Have you added a navmesh to the level?

Hi, thanks for helping me. When the error had started I had installed VS 2015.
Inspite that I have uninstalled vs, error hadn’t stopped. The crash is every time on default level without any modification, and without navmesh. This error is only on the Shootergame.

Can you send me a copy of the shootergame project you are experiencing this with? I’m curious to see if it is being corrupted at some point. Please private message me a link to the project on the forums, I’ll be happy to pull it and see if there is a difference between the one you are using and the one I have.
